Laredo goes cow sorting
Well it's been a busy 2 weeks. Laredo spent his day twelve of training at a local cattle sorting playday. He started out tied to the trailer for a few hours as I was riding a clients molly mule. So we gave the mule a break and did a little ground work and mounted up. He was a little hesitant about the trucks and trailers but we made it passed them and up to the arena were the cows were and about 15 other riders. We stood outside the fence and checked out the action for a few minutes then went in. He did great, a little nervous about other riders behind him but settled down to business. We were part of a 3 man team, one rider cuts and pushes cows to the other 2 who drive one at a time to the other end of the arena and into a shute that opens to another pen. Laredo was awsome we cut the cows in the order of thier number and passed them to the other riders. What a cool horse. Then we loaded up in the trailer and traveled another 4o miles to check out some future customers horse. That took about 3 hours, Laredo and my saddle horse Reno stayed in the trailer all calm. Then it was another hour trailer ride to town and back to the ranch. Long day for the new guy, but he took it all in stride. We have a Mustang Demo coming up April 6th in Barstow and a riding clinic From The Ground Up on the 11th and 12th of April.

Mustang Challenge
Joe did his first demonstration on Laredo today. In front of about 40 people at our local Cowboy Corral tack and feed store. Laredo got his 4th ride in. WOW. Joe also showcased a couple of the other mustangs he has in training. Pockets and Red were there with their new owners riding them. All in all despite the wind it was a good day for the Mustangs that have been touched by Joe.
